Open Call Reeperbahn International

The Reeperbahn International Festival invites European music businesses to participate as delegates in the festival. Small and medium sized companies are focused but other companies are welcome to apply as well.

Between April and June 2021 the festival will take place in Beijing (China), Nashiville and New York City (USA) as well as in Africa. The topic of the events is the music and creative industry as well as the areas of label, publishing, distribution, management, marketing/promotion, booking/live or a related digital/creative business field. For the two events in the US there is a focus on music publishing in Nashville and on recorded music in NYC.

The selected applicants are granted free participation in the full exclusive program which includes Kick-Off reception, company visits (insider knowledge and trend scouting in the local markets) and matchmaking (help to establish targeted connections with important decision makers and potential business partners in the target markets) as well as showcases (offers selected new and upcoming bands and solo artists a stage to present themselves in front of important industry and media representatives as well as a public audience) and sessions in the form of keynotes, panels and workshops.

The Reeperbahn International Festival is supposed to take place at the Reeperbahn Festival Conference Platform, a digital tool, but regarding the ongoing pandemic, a physical part in Hamburg (Germany) is planned if possible. The application deadlines depend on the selected events and locations:

BEIJING 21- 23 April (Application deadline = 24 March)
NASHVILLE 10- 13 May (Application deadline = 09 April)
AFRICA 31 May- 03 June (Application deadline = 30 April)
NEW YORK 14- 17 June (Application deadline = 14 May)

More information can be found here.

Two further events are planned for the fall (Los Angeles, USA as well as Dar es Salaam, Tanzania). The planning for these events is still in the early stages: updates will be posted on festival's website in due course.
