THE CITY is a project that provides artist residencies for artists that are residing in the Netherlands, in Denmark, in Germany, in France, in Finland, in Italy or in the Russian Federation. Currently THE CITY offers a virtual residency for artists from any field that work with the concept of "digital art".
Ten artists will get the chance for a six-week part-time virtual residency between 17 May and 25 June 2021 as well as a curated digital exhibition that opens on 9 July 2021. Each participating artists will be rewarded with a scholarship of 1.000€ for European or 90.000 Rubbles for Russian participants. A good knowledge of English is required.
Selected artists are expected to contribute a work of art to the digital exhibition, to actively participate in the residency with presentations, virtual excursions and collaborative work according to the residency schedule.
The application deadline is 19 March 2021, the selected artists will be notified by the end of April 2021. More information can be found here.
